Your apartment has two comfortable bedrooms.

The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom with shower plus there is a further spacious family bathroom.

The lounge / dining room is well furnished and is complete with flat screen television that receives satellite broadcasts from the UK and other European countries. There is also DVD and music centre.

There is a well planned and new kitchen that is equipped with microwave, washing machine, ceramic hob and electric oven as well as a large fridge freezer. The work surfaces are beautifully fashioned in high quality granite.

From the kitchen you will step directly to the dining area, convenient and also very nicely furnished.

Your apartment is air conditioned and heated, making it suitable for both summer and winter holidays.

There are some wonderful walks from the apartment and in the spring time the hillsides are alive with flowers seldom seen in Northern Europe these days - this is truly a step back in time. Wild life abounds - the area is a bird watchers paradise, spot eagles, kestrels, bee eaters, hoopoe and much more.

Like most Spanish villages, "Velez" has its share of fiestas. The principal celebration takes place during the second week of June each year lasting for a full 5 days. There are parades, markets, music and dancing in the streets, but most interesting of all is the re-enactment of the battles between the Moors and the Christians.

The battles take place in various parts of the village but are based around efforts to take and re-take the castle.

If you would like the apartment for these dates, book early, every room in the village will be sold out well in advance.

"Velez" is a working village which depends on the land for its survival, the village folk are friendly and welcome visitors. Shopping is easy, there is a little bakery opposite the apartment and various little supermarkets in the main street.

Restaurants and bars are plentiful in the village and surrounding areas.

The local bus stops at the door with routes directly to the center of Granada, Motril and Salobreña although we do recommend that you hire a car to take advantage of all this wonderful area has to offer.
