An Andalucian cottage in the Andalucian hills of the Axarquia - this is truly Spain as we all envisage it. Close to Comares, the spectacular Lake Vinuela and only 35 minutes from the beaches of the Costa del Sol. "Paradise found".
Butterfly cottage has lots of pretty, original features and wonderful views over the village of Los Ventorros to the mountainous landscape beyond.
The cottage is small with a rustic charm - there is one double bedroom which is accessed via steps from the lounge to a mezzanine floor. The bathroom is also on this level, en suite to the bedroom.
The lounge is spacious with American style open plan kitchen, sofa, coffee table and wood burning stove. The glow from the stove is so welcoming on those occasional chilly winter evenings after a walk in the hills.
The kitchen in turn is well equipped with all you will need to make your stay comfortable including breakfast bar, microwave, washing machine and fridge freezer.
The gardens to the cottage are very private and well established with almond and other plants native to the area. This leads to the swimming pool and sun terrace which is furnished with sun loungers. The pool is open from April to September.
The pool and gardens are shared with one other cottage which is under the same British ownership. Vicky the owner, lives in private accommodation to the rear of the property and is always happy to assist with any advice you may need. Having lived here for some time There isn't much she doesn't know about the area.
Shopping is from the local village store in Los Ventorros, just a few minutes walk, or from Comares which is about 5 minutes by car. You will need a car to be able to appreciate the beauty of this area and to visit the exciting white villages of Andalucia. There is a very Spanish local bar/restaurant just a few minutes stroll down the road.
